ArtSpark
Graphic Design / User Interface Design
ArtSpark is an innovative desktop and mobile application designed to reignite creativity in primary school classrooms. At the intersection of graphic design and user interface design, ArtSpark serves as a platform specifically curated for educators seeking inspiration and collaboration. For this project, I developed a comprehensive suite of deliverables, including: (1) a logo suite that establishes the brand's identity, (2) intuitive user interfaces for both desktop and mobile versions, and (3) poster advertisements designed to effectively promote ArtSpark.

Sketches
The sketching process for ArtSpark was a deep dive into the world of childhood creativity. Inspired by the playful aesthetics of children’s TV shows, animated films, and existing educational apps, I explored a wide range of visual styles to find the perfect balance between fun and functionality. Each sketch was a step toward crafting a brand identity that feels both engaging and intuitive for educators. From experimenting with expressive shapes to refining hand-drawn elements, every decision was made with young learners—and the teachers guiding them—in mind. The result? A visual language that sparks imagination while remaining clear, approachable, and classroom-friendly.

Logo Suite & Brand Identity
The ArtSpark logo is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the app's purpose of fostering creativity in children. The "a" in both "Art" and "Spark" features fingerprint-like designs, reminiscent of fingerpainting, symbolizing the hands-on, creative experiences the app promotes. The playful, backwards "t" adds a childlike element, reminding parents to keep their children in mind while using the app. The font, 'Kiddosy,' with its wide-body sans serif style and marker-like points, gives the logo a youthful, energetic feel. Finally, the 'spark' found in the traditional ellipse of the "p" visually reinforces the app's mission to ignite creativity and bring art back into classrooms.
Brand Pattern
The brand pattern brings together the playful nature of the characters inspired by finger painting with the dynamic 'spark' element found from the logo. To further capture the classroom spirit, I incorporated encouraging words like 'good job' - a nod to the positive reinforcement kids often see on their assignments. All aimed in targeting ArtSpark's mission in inspiring young learners.

ArtSpark challenged me to balance playfulness with functionality, creating designs that resonate with both educators and young learners. From branding to UI design, this project strengthened my ability to craft intuitive experiences while maintaining a strong visual identity. It reinforced the power of thoughtful design in inspiring creativity, and as I continue to grow, I carry forward the lessons learned in making design both engaging and impactful.
